[Previously on Hand aufs Herz]

[At the Vogel House]

Miriam: I'm in bed with my husband and I'm thinking of Sebastian! Every damn second, what is that?!

[Chulos]

Miriam: I am sorry I stood you up on Friday, but I needed some more time to think about everything.

Woman: Sweetie, are you going to introduce us?

[Intro]

[Chulos]

Sebastian: Well, um, this is Yvonne... we, uh... met during my ski-vacation... Yvonne, this is Miriam, a...

Miriam: Dumb Dora. How could I think...?! (She runs out crying)

Sebastian: Miriam, please!

Yvonne:(pissed) Could you tell me what's going on here?

[At the Vogel house]

Piet: Miriam?

Bea: (coming in) It's just me, I forgot my sheet music here yesterday.

Piet: Do you know where Miriam is? She's gone and didn't say anything!

Bea: Maybe she's out shopping for Christmas gifts again?!

Piet: Nope, she specifically told me yesterday that she’d already bought all of this year’s presents.

Bea: You know how that is. Then you realise you forgot something, or you have to exchange something... Or maybe she still needs some of the ingredients for the salad!

Piet: Yes, but then one would write a note, at least that's how we usually do it.

Bea: Piet, sorry, I really have to go, my day is packed. Teacher's conference, dress rehearsal and Christmas party. (She starts to leave)

Piet: I understand. You probably didn't get much rest because of that postcard from Jens. But Bea, do me a favour and... keep it to yourself for now. It would cause too much of a commotion.

Bea: I will. (She leaves)

[In the streets]

(Miriam is crying, remembering the fun she had with Sebastian. “Torch” by Alanis Morissette accompanies her tears)

[At school]

(Gabriele just comes in. Ingrid is on the stairs.)

Ingrid: Did you see our janitor? (She has a banner in hand) This is supposed to go above the notice board.

Gabriele: Did you see Frau Vogel yet? (They start putting the banner up together)

Ingrid: No, but I suppose she's meeting up with her AG. I am so excited to hear what they're going to sing tonight!

Gabriele: So am I! The first big music performance since Bea Vogel was a student here!

(Sophie passes by, Timo hot on her heels.)

Timo: Wait!

Sophie: Why? You already said everything! My mom's crazy!

Timo: I never said that!

Sophie: So she's tightly wound, same thing!

Timo: God, I exaggerated! I didn't mean it like that...

Sophie: I see! So this with us, you didn't mean it like that either, or what? Some fucking and that's it?

Timo: What? No! What's that got to do with it?

Sophie: If everything's so bad, why don't you celebrate with Luzi?! But if you do this thing with us will be over!

[At the Beschenko's]

(Karin is cleaning when Luzi comes in. She goes straight to her room)

Karin: Luzi! Don’t you have a rehearsal?

Luzi: (Just grabbing something and turning around) I'm leaving right away again.

Karin: Is that for your performance later?

Luzi: Hm-hm. We thought of something really cool. Is everything okay?

Karin: Of course, why?

Luzi: Well, you're cleaning... on your day off...

Karin: Yeah, so?!

Luzi: You never do that – unless you're sad. Are you sad?

Karin: Bollocks! It's Christmas! And I'm looking forward to Christmas Eve with you! In a clean flat!

Luzi: And without Herr Heisig! I prefer him having obligations, by the way.

Karin: So do I.

Luzi: Or did you tell him that I would prefer celebrating with you alone, and that’s what has made you sad?

Karin: I am not sad!

Luzi: Would you like to have him here on Christmas Eve?

Karin: No, I would not like to have him here!

Luzi: No?

Karin: Luzi! Don't you have to get to your rehearsal?

Luzi: (Taking a look at the sweets Karin has beside her cleaning stuff) Come on, spill it!

Karin: If I needed a psychologist, I'd call Uncle Piotr!

Luzi: And he is a psychologist?

Karin: He acts like one sometimes.

Luzi: Did you fight?

Karin: No, never!

Luzi: I'm talking about Herr Heisig now...

Karin: Luzi! If you don't sing amazingly tonight, I'll be really mad!

Luzi: You don't want to talk about it?

Karin: I want to see a really great performance from you!

Luzi: You don't want to talk about it...

Karin: Luzi!

Luzi: God, you're really the most stubborn Beschenko I ever met! If you don't want something, then you don't want it!

Karin: Exactly! And now you at least know where you got that from!

Luzi: Well... at least you're good at baking cookies. (She eats one)

Karin: I know how they taste! Go on, you have to get to your rehearsal! I want to be really proud of my daughter tonight!

(Luzi waves and leaves)

[Chulos]

Yvonne (in Austrian accent) (WTH???O_O): You know what you are? A wanker!

Sebastian: Take it back!

Yvonne: I'm not taking it back! First you bring me here and then..

Sebastian: ....you can leave, can’t you!?!?!

Yvonne: Oh please...(to Michael) get out of my way!

Michael (do I really have to endure him talking in Austrian accents now..really?): What was that? The girl from Austria....didn't she like it here?

Sebastian: I really messed up.

Michael: Come on, let it out!

Sebastian: Miriam was just here. We had wanted to drive to the mountains together. This thing is serious for me, but she stood me up and so I went by myself.

Michael: And you shot down this pink snow bunny? Sweet.

Sebastian: I was mad!….............that's it. I f***** it up.

Michael: Sebastian, you know my opinion, don't mess with a marriage. Excuse me (answers his phone) Hi Andy, did everything work out alright? Alright. Great! I owe you one. Do you mind if I come by now to pick up the keys? Alright. Later.

Sebastian:Something important

Michael:It is important. I'm planning a small surprise. For Karin.

Sebastian: Good luck,then.

Michael: Oh, dude.. (Michael tries to comfort his brother with a slap on the shoulder)

[School Auditorium – Timo, Emma, Hotte and Luzi are waiting]

Luzi: Stress?

Timo: Stress!?!? She threatened to break up with me if I don‘t spend Christmas with her.

Luzi: Crazy...that’s blackmail.... So what are you going to do now?

Timo: Hope that Christmas is going to pass by quickly.

Bea and Sophie walk in... Sophie promptly rolls her eyes when she sees Timo and Luzi together....

Bea: Sorry, I have to go to the teacher's conference, but I just wanted to drop off the sheet music.

(Luzi: But Bea you can't leave us! I want you to be my other mom, or older aunt,or something else. I'd rather have two mommies in my life than Michael! Don't YOU want to date my mom? I think you living in a one bedroom apartment with your fridge next to the bed in your brother's house at thirty is way cooler than my mom working three shifts to buy me goth clothing!!!)

What she really says:

Luzi: But it's our first official performance!

Bea (organizing and handing the sheet music to Sophie): We still have the dress rehearsal! You guys are great! We will do this! (Geez, judging by how many times Bea is absent, they're not good...they're child geniuses...)

Sophie: Uh...Frau Vogel!

Luzi: Uh..do you guys wanna practice something?

Emma: Sophie?

Annoyed, Sophie gives the other’s their parts and then moves to another chair to read the card she’s found mixed in with the sheet music. It turns out to be Jens‘ postcard, and she appears to find it funny that Bea would get such a sappy card from someone.

Jens' postcard:

(Do I really have to translate this AGAIN? No, right? OH FINE!)

Dear Bea,

Christmas time always reminds you of the people who were truly important in your life. I’ve never forgotten you.

Your Jens

[Beschenko Appartment]

Michael: Hello Karin.

Karin: Hello... Miachel,I don't want...

Michael: Wait..wait..before you continue, let me explain something to you: I'm here for an important reason, and that reason is you. I know that you're insecure, but I can assure you that other women aren't playing a role in my life anymore. What's over is over. Just give us a chance.(Is he going to sing „On Bended Knee“ next???)

Karin: I'd love to but..

Michael: Allow me to abduct you for a little bit..I want to show you something..(I have never read smut as lame as this..)

Karin: Michael..

Michael: If you don't like it, I will bring you back immediately!

(Romantic abduction seems to be THE romantic show of affection on this show..I hope they don't ruin Saal 1 for me, and all of us, now...)

Karin: What is it?

Michael: It's a surprise. You're going to like it. (We cut to Michael leading a blindfolded Karin through an Ice Rink) I'm not going to tell you what is it. Watch your step.

Karin: Where are we?

Michael:Just trust me! Careful..door. You told me what Christmas is like in the Ukraine, remember? And I thought I'd recreate a bit of that scenery. We've got some solid ice space, some picknicking space and...some ice skates. Just the Piotrrr is missing. I couldn't get my hands on any, I’m sorry.(I'm assuming it's Ukrainian Schnaps.)

They make their way acrross the ice to the sit at the Picnic Space Michael has set up...

[At the School – Teacher’s Meeting Room]

Ingrid: Good luck to your students! I'm looking forward to the performance!

Alexandra is staring daggers across the table at Bea.... suddenly Bea remembers the postcard and frantically starts searching for it. We see flashbacks of her with the card at different times, and she gets more and more freaked out each time she looks somewhere and doesn’t find the card. Alexandra is noticing this, but eventually gets up and leaves. Finally Bea decides that just sitting there and freaking out isn’t going to help her, so she gathers her things and leaves as well.

[Back at the Ice Skating Rink – Michael and Karin are skating... well... Karin is... Michael is falling... A LOT.... lol!]

Karin: You're doing pretty well already.

Michael: Very funny. It's the damn skates....I guess they're meant more for ice hockey than ice skating. Actually, I'm another Petriko...(Karin laughs and he looks all defensive.... but in a playful way)....I'll prove it to you....I just need some time. (He almost falls... AGAIN!)

Karin: Laughs (she laughs too rarely on this show, this is the first time I've heard her laugh..) Say, don't you have to go to school?

Michael: Today....is the last day of school. We have a teacher's conference, and my colleagues can manage without me..that's why we're here. (He actually does fall, and in the process pulls Karin down with him... she lands on top and they smile at eachother... just before she kisses him he stops her and gets up saying....) I must not give up..I must not..give up.

[ School Hallway – Bea is on the phone]

Bea:Good thing that I managed to reach you! I'm looking for Jens' postcard. Have you seen it? Are you at home? Suddenly she runs into Miriam, and we see that’s who she’s been talking to on the phone.

Miriam: No. (they both hang up their cell phones) I brought this by for the buffet. I should have known better. He's a barkeeper, skibunnies are basically part of job description. If you had only seen her! Say, when was the last time you wore moonboots? Of course....If you're showing that much cleavage, you at least have to keep your feet warm.

Bea:Who are you talking about?

Miriam:Sebastian. He's a barkeeper and she a pink ski bunny. Easy lay. One doesn't say no. Shit!!! Sorry,Bea..you were asking me something?

Bea: I'm looking for Jens' postcard. The last time I had it was at your place..have you seen it?

Miriam: No, I cleaned up and I would have noticed it.

Bea: Are you sure?

Miriam: I'll drive home in a minute and check, and if I find it..

Bea: You'll call. If Alexandra gets her hands on it, she'll think she's been right all along.

Why did he write now? What is that supposed to be about? It's starting all over again.

Miriam: Don't beat yourself up over this now. Where did you see it last?

Bea:Here. In the sheet music, but it's not here anymore....the dress rehearsal....I need to go.

[Back at the Ice Rink]

Karin: Straight back! Yes,that's better.

Michael: You should have become a teacher.

Karin: All of this...the surprise..thank you...it's nice with you.

They clink glasses

Michael: Even without Uncle Piotr?

Karin: Even without Uncle Piotr....and actually..he would have been getting on our nerves.

Michael: Didn't you say he was super quiet?

Karin: Let me put it this way: He really would have missed the vodka in the picknickbasket.

Michael: Right. I forgot.

Karin: But you thought of everything that's importnat.

Michael: We need to go, the Christmas Party is going to start soon.

Karin: There's still time for that.

Karin kisses him and they start making out

[School Auditorium]

Bea: Alright, let’s have a quick drink, breathe, and then we‘ll go, yeah!?

Hotte: I don't think she's really all present.

Timo: Sophie?

Hotte: Vogel.

Luzi: Great..we were really great! If we can do it at the performance just like that!

Emma (EMMA!!):I need chocolate before that. Nothing works without that first!

Sophie: Frau Vogel..

Bea: Not now...! (Her cell phone is ringing, and she quickly answers it.) Miriam..did you find the card?

Bea TOTALLY ignores Sophie and walks out while still on the phone...

[At the School on the Main Staircase]

Krawczyk:Join me in welcoming, to their first official performance at this school, The ST AG, led by Bea Vogel!

The STAG enter down the stairs as they sing Silent Night..in english! FTW!!Suck it, Glee! They are wearing blue capes, but rip them off after finishing Silent Night. This is followed by more not so German Christmas songs that are intruppted by another Alexandra and Bea staring session! STOP IT! I want to watch and hear the STAG!!! Ugh! Bea is shocked back into the present by the loud clapping and cheering that everyone is doing for the now-finish STAG. Ingrid gives this cute little yell, and the members of STAG look really excited and proud.

Karin:I've never seen Luzi like that.

Michael: You should be really proud of her.

Karin: I am.

Jäger(fangirling): Frau Beschenko, wasn't that fantastic!?!?!? If we don't see each other again....Merry Christmas to the both of you!

Michael: To you, too, Frau Jäger, to you, too!

Karin: Merry Christmas, Frau Jäger! (to Michael) Speaking of that, what are you doing for Christmas?

Michael: I guess I'll be spending it with Sebastian at Chulo's

.

Karin: I'd be happy if you'd spend it with Luzi and me.

Michael: Thank you, I'd love to! I mean, if Luzi doesn't mind. I mean, a teacher under the tree! That's not exactly every student's wish for Christmas.

Karin: She'll get over it, but I'll ask her.

Jäger: Oh, Bea! Let me hug you! This was super duper great!

Sophie: Frau Vogel! You forgot something in my music.

Bea:Thank you, I've been looking all over for it!

Sophie. I meant to give it to you sooner.

Bea: Thank you. Really, thank you.

Ben:Hey, cool performance. Totally.

Hotte: Thanks.

Luzi: If you want to rejoin, I'm sure that would be manageable.

Ben: I would rather leave it up to you. Catch you later.

Sophie: And...are you gossipping?

Luzi: No, and now come off it!

Sophie: Excuse me?

Luzi:Don't you think it's a little childish to threaten to break up with Timo if he doesn't spend Christmas with you?

Sophie: Be happy, he obviously seems to have made his decision.

Timo: Well...

Luzi: Understandably.

Timo: Hold on.

Sophie: Don't act like..

Timo: Enough! I'm half Turkish....I don't even have to celebrate Christmas....and I'm not going with either of you....not if it's this much stress....really...

Bea is walking down the stairs and she bumps into Alexandra.... dropping everything all over the floor....

Bea: Sorry, that was unintentional.

Lohmann: As if you'd ever do something without meaning to. (She notices the postcard on the ground and bends down to pick it up.)

Bea: Hand it over! That is private! Hand it over!

Lohmann (reading the postcard): Your Jens? I knew it! What did you do to my sister?
