Sadly, the grey boots made a miraculous return. What the fuck costume department? But the ending was awesome!!! Even more awesome than Jennys pizza ballet. The music for it was perfect. I even like Ben now. And that my friends, is saying alot.

I don't even need translations anymore to get the general idea on conversations etc. Thank you HaH for teaching me more German and being awesome at the same time. Hammaaaa!

Lol, I noticed the boots came back too, Anns! They're magic boots made for kicking Ronnie's ass.

I finally was able to watch the episode. Yes, boots are back, but there is another scene when Emma is trying to get into the airport that the boots are gone and back are the sneakers.

    Anns (Freitag, 19 August 2011 21:19)

I watched the episode again and indeed, the sneakers are also there. Very confusing. Emma has magical, fit for every need, morphing shoes. A hint for Emma though, buy a pair of Converse and you'll be set for life! No need for magic or other shenanigans.

This episode was cool.I like Ben when he's not around Bea, he's so sweet with Emma. And Emma stood up to Ronnie and kicked his ass!! Go Bemma!

I think Ben is going to finish in jail... because of Emma and Jenny this time... But very nice to help them... Great episode but I don't want to wait until monday. It's too long (even if I know what would happen because I watched the extracts of next week...

Dayumm, what a way to end a week. Indeed the boots were back, as were the sneakers. I loved how they kept switching haha. Frank's grand entrance made me laugh cause my first thought was simply 'tan much, Frank?'

I've liked Ben more this week then ever before, he and Emma make a adorable team. The last scene was wicked. The music + car chasing a plane + general badassary all around. Such a great episode!

Wow! What a week! *wipes forehead with sleeve and sips sports drink* Anyone know what the song was that was playing during Ben's plane chase scene?

    Wired (Samstag, 20 August 2011 01:26)

Another great episode! Jenny breaks my heart!!! And Emma seriously should get the girlfriend of the year award for sticking up to Ronnie and finally getting his a** in trouble. If only she'd call him an Arschloch a la Jenny. :) Exciting chase scene at the end. Can't wait for monday!

Anyone else needed the Jemma Emergency Kit after watching this episode?!!
    I've felt this nervous for a while~!

  • #17

    San (Samstag, 20 August 2011 05:30)

Staring takes too much time!!! Just get your asses to the freakin' airport!!! What an ending!

I work in a medical library, and I'm very impressed that Luzi was able to get such credible medical information from a Google search. And what looks like the Doctor's real estate website to boot! I kid, Luzi. Just hit Timo over the head with it. Maybe that will cure him of is utter stubbornness.

Oh and, Jenny, you know dead weight is hard to move. Would it kill you to collapse to the ground in a blubbering, sobbing mess to gain a little more time :)

You know, Emma used to wear converse all the time until she and Jenny started really dating. Then the boots appeared. Maybe they were a birthday present, a pair of designer boots from London. Hmm, something to think about.

  • #18

    Randy (Samstag, 20 August 2011 06:15)

Maybe the boots are to add height to Emma, who is shorter than Jenny. Before they got together, there was no need for Emma to be at kiss level with Jenny.

  • #19

    amidola (Samstag, 20 August 2011 07:27)

Randy, I think it's about height, too, but more from a character perspective. Jenny always wore these high heeled Boots, while Emma appeared somewhat shorter. Now they're at eye level, which has, of course plenty of advantages:-) With the parents, I think both wore flat shoes to show their .

    Andi (Samstag, 20 August 2011 11:45)

What an episode! Naivly I thought "oh yes, they go to the airport and talk to the parents" BUT NO! They all began to chase that damn plane! How awesome is that?! I love how the characters stick together, go Ben-Frank-Emma team!

If you are in a need of diverting planes, who do you call? The Badass team!

  • #21

    Kirsty (Samstag, 20 August 2011 12:43)

@Andi- it was totally awesome! Realistically I wondered why they didn't just shout to Jenny or toot the car horn because they weren't too far away across the fence.... but where was the fun in that!?? Much more dramatic to drive madly along runways :)

  • #22

    Randy (Samstag, 20 August 2011 13:53)

@Amidola, thanks for responding. You're right about character. Also, much has been said about the ugliness of Emma's boots. But to stay in character, Emma (who doesn't have stylish dress sense or much money) probably wouldn't have anything but boots like these. As you know, the wardrobe has to be true to the character.

What words are missing from your last sentence?

    tamu13 (Samstag, 20 August 2011 14:29)

can't stop laughing when u guys still talkin' bout the shoe.. I agree w/ randy + amidola :D

  • #24

    Randy (Samstag, 20 August 2011 14:35)

@Amidola, according to their bios, in real life Lucy (169 cm/5 foot 5 inches) is a little taller than Kasia (159 cm/5foot 2.6 inches). In terms of more equal height for the characters, putting boots on Emma would be better than having her stand on a slightly raised platform for close-ups (as I believe is common practice in TV/movie making) and which wouldn't be usable for long shots.

    Casandra (Samstag, 20 August 2011 16:10)

Emma is so great in this episode and Ben too.
She deserves the girlfriend of the year reward.

    Thank you San! Amazing tune.

  • #30

    San (Samstag, 20 August 2011 19:39)

@Anns Thank goodness for distinctive lyrics!

Not to beat an ugly boot to death, but they would be fine if Emma didn't roll up her jeans. I guess, her jeans were perfectly tailored for converse but became freakishly short with heeled boots, so they rolled them up to exaggerate the short length. I guess we could be thankful that they're not bright orange. Wait, maybe they should be bright orange!

Season 2 plots: Emma gets new shoes. And Jemma becomes a crime fighting duo. Arschloch Beware!

  • #31

    Anns (Samstag, 20 August 2011 20:00)

I also enjoyed the song playing while Rrrrronnie tried to call Frank. It is 'I Don't Need Your Love' by Aereogramme btw.

Ben would make an excellent Bosley for Jemma. Oh, and let me just say that German curse words are the best. Arschloch really sounds like the way it should be.

    amidola (Sonntag, 21 August 2011 00:15)

Damn you autocorrect, the missing word was smallness, but could also have been vincibility, sadness, helplessness, etc.,...there are different heights to Lucy's bios.Don't ask me, I'll try to pay better attention and insonspiciously sneak up next to her, next time I get a chance..but guess what? She usually wears boots!
And the car chase: I was lying in bed and literally biting into my blanket.
because, you know, I'm like twelve..*rolls eyes at self*.
Thank goodness I drew the curtains..I am wondering what my neighbors might be thinking about me sometimes..I actually might have whooped, for example at Emma's Coming out..;-)

  • #33

    Randy (Sonntag, 21 August 2011 01:38)

@amidola, thanks for the missing word. Regarding Lucy's height, I guess the boots have gotten the better of us. Maybe it's time for us to boot the boots subject (sorry, I couldn't resist). Lucky you, seeing Lucy in person.

As for the car chase, they're always nerve wracking to watch, but more so because this was Jemma. Biting your blanket is better than biting your lip (my teeth were clenched). What's wrong with being twelve? Don't we all have that child inside of us?

Your whoop at Emma's coming out was among the wave of whoops heard around the world. Keep the neighbors guessing. It gives the something to do.

I have remained siltent throughout my Jemma fandom until now. Reading these posts day after day is the most fun I've had since I used to chase girls down the street with my pants rolled up.

@Anns Now I want to see Charlie's Angles: Jemma Edition :)

  • #36

    Randy (Sonntag, 21 August 2011 06:46)

@amidola, in the last sentence in my previous post, the word the should be the word them. My copyediting and proofreading skills are slipping. The car chase rattled me. And seeing Ben's Mustang brought back memories of the one I owned. I can see Jemma owning a Mustang . . .the hottest gals in the hottest American car ever made. That's something to whoop about.

    dropkick (Montag, 22 August 2011 13:07)

Holy cow. Computer issues have kept me off the net for the last week, so I decided to sit down and watch the last week of Jemma in one go. I'm not sure I'll ever recover.
